Malaria, dengue fever, West Nile Fever and other mosquito-borne diseases are major contributors to the total global burden of disease and a significant impediment to socioeconomic development in many countries. Surveillance and controlling of mosquito play a major role in mosquito-borne disease control. The main purpose of this forum is understanding new research about surveillance and controlling of mosquito and mosquito-borne disease after academic communication for each other.
The proposed major topics include: (1) Overview of current surveillance and control status/situation for mosquito and mosquito-borne diseases. (2) Overview of future direction and challenge for the surveillance and control of mosquito and mosquito-borne diseases. (3) Search for possible collaboration for research and development of surveillance and control of mosquito and mosquito-borne diseases. (4) Share information about the possible fund resources for mosquito and mosquito-borne disease control. (5) Promote new techniques/methods for surveillance and control of mosquito and mosquito-borne diseases.
